What grid sizes are available?
You can choose from 8×8, 16×16, or 32×32 pixel grids. Smaller grids are great for simple icons and sprites, while larger grids let you add more detail. The canvas automatically scales to fit your screen.
How does the fill (bucket) tool work?
The fill tool uses a flood-fill algorithm to replace all connected pixels of the same color with your selected color. Click any pixel and all adjacent pixels sharing that same color will be filled — just like the paint bucket tool in traditional image editors.
Can I export my pixel art as an image?
Yes! Click the Export PNG button to download your artwork as a high-resolution PNG file. The image is scaled up (each pixel becomes a larger block) so it looks crisp and sharp, even at large sizes. Grid lines are not included in the export.
What is mirror mode?
Mirror mode enables symmetry drawing. In horizontal mirror mode, every pixel you draw is automatically mirrored on the opposite side of the canvas left-to-right. In vertical mode, it mirrors top-to-bottom. This is perfect for creating symmetrical characters, icons, and patterns.
Are my projects saved automatically?
Projects are saved to your browser's localStorage when you click Save. You can save multiple projects and load them later from the project manager. Note that data is stored locally in your browser only — clearing browser data will remove saved projects.
